Clean curry leaves, wash 2 times in water thoroughly. Dry in sieve.
Heat the pan and add i tsp oil. Add rei and jeera (cumin) in hot oil. On roasting rei and cumin seeds add urad dal and chaana dal. Stir with spoon on medium flame and cook till its gets light brown in color. Add red pepper and heeng and cook for 1/ 2 min. Take out the dry- roasted spices in a bowl.
Add the left oil in pan, add curry leaves in hot oil and cook for 2 mins. Add coconut and green chilies and roast for 1 min.
Put roasted curry leaves, dal and all spices in mixture grinder. Add imli(tamarind) pulp, gurr(jaggery) and salt. Add 1/4 cup and grind chutney finely.
Tasty curry leaf chutney is ready. Serve with idli,dosa,vada or pakora.
