Ingredients for (Kathal Recipe) Jackfruit Fry

  • Jackfruit- 250 gm
  • Oil- 2 table spoon
  • Asafetida- 1-2 pinch
  • Cumin seed- 1/4 small spoon
  • Turmeric Powder- 1/4 table spoon
  • Coriander Powder- 1 small spoon
  • Green Chilly- 2 (cut into small pieces)
  • Ginger-1 inch in length (cut into small pieces)
  • Red Chilli Powder- 1/4 small spoon
  • Mango Powder- 1/4 small spoon
  • Salt- (According to taste)
  • Garam masala- 1/4 small spoon
  • Green coriander-1 table spoon

How to make Kathal Recipe.

When you buy the jackfruit from the market, said the vegetable seller to remove the peel of the jackfruit and peel the seeds of it.

Put the oil in the pan and heat the pan. Put the cumin seed and asafetida in the hot oil. after the cumin seed is properly fried, put the turmeric powder and coriander powder in it. Now stir the masala in the stirring spoon. Add jackfruit, salt and red chilli in the masala and stir the masala and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour two table spoons of water in the recipe. Cove the recipe and cook it with low heat.

Check the recipe after 7 to 8 minutes and stir it with the stirring spoon. If there is a little water in the recipe, pour one tablespoon of water in it. Then cover it and cook it for 5 to 6 minutes with low heat. Now you are required to see the recipe that the pieces of jackfruit have become soft. Add mango powder and garam masala in it and mix it well. The jackfruit is ready.

Take out the jackfruit fry in a bowl and garnish it with the green coriander. You can serve and eat hot with bread and nann and chapatti.
