Millet Daliya – 100 gm (made by grinding and filtering the millet)
Matha – 400 gm (made by stirring 200 gm curd along with 200 gm water)
Salt – as per taste
How to make Maheri Recipe
Boil daliya in a utensil with thrice as much water, as daliya. Add daliya only when the water is hot and keep stirring with a spoon. After the water boils, switch the flame to low. Keep stirring in small intervals.
After the daliya becomes soft and gels well with the water, add the matha and keep stirring till it boils. Add salt and cook the daliya for another 3 to 4 minutes on a low flame.
The Indian village's traditional Maheri is now ready to serve and eat along with coriander chutney or tomato chutney.
