Clean the rice and soak them in water for 2-3 hours.
Strain the excess water and place the rice in mixture jar. Also, add coconut as well and make a fine paste.
Take out rice and coconut paste in a bowl. Add 1.5 cup water into it and mix well. Make a paste with very thin consistency. Add salt into it and mix well.
For making dosa, preheat a nonstick tawa and spread some oil evenly. Pour 2-3 tsp batter on the tawa and spread it evenly. Pour some oil all around the dosa. Roast the dosa on high-medium flame until it turns slightly brown in color from beneath.
There is no need to roast the dosa from another side as its too thin and gets roasted from both sides evenly. Fold the dosa and place it on a plate. Clean the tawa before making second dosa. Now spread the batter evenly and roast until it gets slightly brown from beneath. Fold and place it on a plate. Likewise prepare all dosas.
With this much quantity 7-8 dosas can be prepared. Serve neer dosa with coconut chutney, peanut chutney or sambhar and relish eating.
For making neer dosa, batter should be very fine and smooth in consistency.
You can even skip the use of coconut in making neer dosas.
