How to make Pizza Base Indian
Take refined flour in any bowl and add semolina, salt, sugar, oil and dry instant yeast and mix well. Now with help of lukewarm water, knead soft dough, same a required for making chapatti.
After kneading the dough, grease your hands with some oil and knead the dough for 5-6 more minutes until smooth. Dough for making pizza base is ready.
Now divide this dough into two equal halves. Take one part and shape it round. Spread some flour over the rolling board and place the dough ball over it. With help of rolling pin, roll into 1/2 cm thick circular poori.
Take one big lid or cap, dust it with some dry flour and place it over rolled pizza base. Now press gently and make a round base. Pizza base is now ready. Now with help of a fork, prick the pizza base at some distance.
Now take a baking tray, place a butter paper over it and grease it with some oil. Place the pizza base over butter paper. Likewise prepare second pizza base and place it over butter paper.
Cover the pizza base with cloth and keep them aside for 1.5-2 hours so that they get puffy and set. After this bake them.
Preheat oven on 200 degree centigrade. Place the baking tray in oven and set oven for 5 minutes on 200 degree centigrade. Allow the pizza base to bake. Check after 5 minutes. If pizza base is under cooked, then bake pizza for 2 more minutes. Within 7 minutes, pizza base gets baked.
Once pizza base gets frigid, store it in refrigerator and use within 7 days.
Instant dry active yeast is added directly while kneading dough, but dry active yeast needs to be activated separately. For this take yeast in a bowl and add 2-3 tbsp lukewarm water and 1 tsp sugar into it. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes. There will be formation of bubbles in water, add this water in flour and knead dough.
